Overview of job
In this role you will be part of the team responsible for developing, delivering and running Global’s market-leading range of commercial data products across the areas of insight, planning, targeting and measurement.
This is a unique opportunity to tie work on all elements of the data product spectrum from proof of concepts and business intelligence to revenue generating audience analytics tools.
You will work closely a range of different business departments including the commercial data, data science, commercial technology and data engineering.
You will also play a key role in helping shape the future development of Global’s data product proposition across all elements of the business – Radio, DAX and Outdoor.

Measures of success:
In the first few months, you would have:
Gained a good understanding of our business operating model within the DAX area of the business
Knowledge of our main data warehouses, systems, and data workflows that we are working with.
Exposure to existing data science and analytical solutions the team has delivered.
Delivered Ad-Hoc analysis and insight for various critical business questions.
Responsibilities of the role
Translate business requirements into data product backend and front-end development technical specifications.
Being a leading member of the analytics team; coaching and motivating your colleagues to help bring about collaborative success.
Build data analysis dashboards and proof of concepts using Tableau utilising our wealth of first- and third-party data.
Working closely with Data Science to understand and create solutions for a cookie-less future.
Analysing how our sales team use current tools, to make recommendations and deliver improvements.
Delivering on ad-hoc analysis briefs answering business questions in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders from across the business.
Explore and identify opportunities of potential data-led projects within the commercial department to provide actionable insight and drive commercial value.
Writing up and maintaining technical documentation.
What you will need
Experience working and delivering product in an agile scrum development lifecycle.
Experience building dashboard/platform/data visualisation products for external facing clients.
Experience implementing and supporting self-service BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Qlik Sense (preferably Tableau)
Experience in running SQL queries and using Snowflake.
The ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from multiple teams across a business.
