Position Summary:
We are in search of a Senior Data Analyst with a robust technical foundation and extensive experience in data analytics methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven capability in harnessing SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyze data, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with adept analytical skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders to solve complex business problems and enhance data integrity across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive data analysis to diagnose and rectify quality and integrity issues within datasets, utilizing advanced SQL queries, Python scripting, and BI tools to yield actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Engage directly with clients to comprehensively understand their business processes, identify operational bottlenecks, and pinpoint areas for performance improvement, thereby fostering data-driven solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design, implement, and refine data collection methodologies, processing protocols, and storage architectures in close collaboration with database engineers, ensuring scalability and robustness in data handling.
- Architect and automate data pipelines and workflows utilizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to enhance data integrity, facilitate real-time analytics, and streamline overall data processes.
- Employ statistical techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and machine learning algorithms, to sift through large datasets, unearth trends, and generate reports that convey critical business insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation that adheres to data governance protocols and promotes best practices in data management and compliance.
- Optimize and manage interactive dashboards using BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) for real-time monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data performance metrics.
- Actively participate in agile project management methodologies employing tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative development cycles to ensure timely delivery of analytical projects.
- Regularly update knowledge on advancements in data governance frameworks, analytics methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance analytics capabilities across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, with demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL and Python programming specific to data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in crafting optimized SQL queries and utilizing libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) for data wrangling; practical experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Analytical Skills: Proven track record of interpreting and analyzing complex datasets; ability to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations and drive strategic decision-making.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication abilities, with experience articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Tools: Solid experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with statistical analysis tools or libraries (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of compliance standards and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
