POSITION SUMMARY:


Good360 is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive the organization’s ongoing business transformation, enhancing data-driven decision making, streamlining workflows, and identifying new opportunities for impact, growth, and efficiency. This role reports to the Senior Director of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI CoE), supporting Good360's mission by establishing robust data processes, reports, and dashboards, and promoting a data-centric culture across the organization. The Senior Data Analyst will engage with various departments, understand their unique business processes and reporting needs, and implement improvements using Power BI. With more than five years of experience in Power BI, proficiency in data modeling, and strong SQL skills, the ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in MS Azure, Synapse Analytics, and other data management tools to deliver impactful insights.


The successful candidate will exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative and communicative approach that aligns with Good360’s socially responsible and mission-driven culture. They will possess a keen ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, working closely with non-technical stakeholders to foster a data-informed environment. Their experience in data science, project management, and mentoring will be critical in building a strong data culture within the organization. Intrinsic motivation, a deep understanding of Good360’s business model, and the ability to manage ambiguity and innovate will drive the Senior Data Analyst to connect various teams, enhance operations, and contribute significantly to Good360’s mission of closing the need gap and opening opportunities for all.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions that improve decision making and streamline workflows through access to reliable information, reports, and visualizations.  

  • Partner with IT and technical vendor(s) to enable data pipelines or other means of systemically sourcing internal and/or external data for reports and visualizations. 

  • Present results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner that instills confidence and promotes solution adoption.

  • Contribute to data standards and drive data quality that enables data governance across the organization.

  • Contribute to training strategies and offerings that upskill the organization’s data fluency and adoption of data culture.

  • Contribute to BI CoE strategy and evolution to maximize business impact.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience facilitating business needs discussions with end users and stakeholders to identify opportunities and documenting resulting business requirements for analytical solutions.   

  • Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and solve them with the available data.

  • 5 - 7 years minimum experience working as a Data analyst / Power BI Analyst / Data Scientist, within a large organization.

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL programming, including the ability to write complex queries and procedures to extract or transform data from various sources.    

  • Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex financial models and perform data analysis using advanced functions, such as pivot tables, data validation, and macros.  

  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including the ability to design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support analysis and decision-making.  

  • Experience with data cleansing and normalization.  

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.  

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, take high-level requirements, and work independently and within a team environment with consistent follow up, organization and prioritization skills, and excellent attention to detail  


In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following:   



  • Python and R coding skills

  • Data Architecture experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related quantitative field  

  • Experience setting up, building and maintaining production data pipelines  

  • Experience starting large analytic projects and collaborating with remote cross-functional teams
