Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: New York, NY 10003 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months

Overview:

An experienced Senior Business Analyst is needed to join an IT team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed requirements. This role requires strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and a strategic approach to problem-solving. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the Enterprise Data Management department to support and enhance Data Warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Analysis: Evaluate workflows, identify areas for improvement, and resolve complex user issues.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and create system specifications.
  • Solution Design: Propose and design technical solutions, working with both internal and external teams.
  • Testing & Implementation: Prepare and document test plans, validate data, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Develop and maintain documentation, and recommend best practices.
  • Cross-Department Liaison: Serve as a communication bridge between IT, management, and end-users.

Technology Stack:

  • Data Warehouse: Oracle EPM, Snowflake
  • BI Tools: OBIEE, BRIO, Tableau
  • Database Structures: Dimensional and Relational

Qualifications:

  • Business Experience: Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in conducting gap analyses, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, along with experience in stakeholder collaboration and training.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify solutions and create technical requirements.
  • Organizational Skills: Experience in managing complex information systems and improving existing systems.
  • Adaptability: Ability to keep up with technological advancements and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with databases, software development life cycles, and tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira, Tableau, OBIEE, SQL, and Snowflake.
