Zonda is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of insightful research reports focused on the homebuilding industry. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with excellent written and communication skills and a passion for data-driven storytelling. This role is highly data-intensive, requiring proficiency in data manipulation and analysis to extract meaningful insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain monthly research processes and reports, including data collection and distribution, market summaries, and administrative tasks.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel skills. Other data analysis tools are not required but are a plus.
  • With guidance, transform complex data into clear and actionable insights through data visualization and storytelling techniques.
  • Maintain existing economic models, and later build new models, to support research efforts and create operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the team to find areas of interest within the homebuilding industry to research and write about.
  • Improve upon existing processes by building deeper research techniques and integrating automation and efficiencies.
  • With direction, write comprehensive and engaging research reports, including executive summaries, data analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth research on various aspects of the homebuilding industry, including regional differences, market trends, and economic indicators.
  • Share research findings with internal and external stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel. Experience with other data analysis tools is a plus (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Works well with deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience and/or interest in the housing or real estate industry is preferred.
