As the Reporting - Data Analyst Senior for the Deflection Center, duties will include:

Database and Report Development

  • Use senior level SQL coding skills, SQL server stored procedure design, back-end database development (mapping relationships between tables, views and queries), and advanced Microsoft SSRS development skills to build complex reports necessary for critical business functions and compliance with funding requirements. 

  • Design and develop complex reports containing advanced formulas and mathematical modeling necessary to comply with Federal regulatory reporting requirements and BHD Management team, County Budget Office, County and State auditors, State Office of Mental Health and Addiction Services, other County departments, and external committees and regulatory agencies. 

  • Develop, review and update analysis of data collection work flows and redesign processes for the Addiction Services Programs. 

  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual data reports to meet requirements of the Addiction Services Programs. Includes using a variety of tools such as SSRS, Tableau and data extracts. 

Complex Data Processes

  • Design, develop, test and implement data processes and reports utilizing CIM data, SQL Queries, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). This may involve integrating data from MS Access 2003/2007, Excel, and SQL Server databases. 

  • Extract complex information and data from multiple systems across Addiction Services Programs and provide ad-hoc reports and data analysis to meet business needs. 

  • Work as a liaison between the Addiction Services Programs and Decision Support Teams (Evolv Support, Billing Support, and the Reporting Team) in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex data systems, data extracts and reports. 

  • Identify opportunities for workflow and process improvements to enhance and maximize functionality of the reporting for Addiction Services Programs.

Staff Training

  • Provide training and team leadership for provider data entry. 

  • Provide technical assistance for provider staff to ensure the accurate, timely and complete entry of all necessary information, and to resolve data related problems.

  • Assist program staff in data system development and data analysis.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education/ Experience: 

  • High school diploma/ GED with seven (7) to ten (10) years of qualifying training and/or experience, OR

  • Associate’s Degree with three (3) to six (6) years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

  • This position requires a background investigation, which may include being fingerprinted.

  • Power BI

However, actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law and will take into account factors such as the candidate's relevant experience and education. Candidates should expect that initial offers will be made within the listed pay range and may not be at or near the top of the range.
