Position Description |
The Marketing Business & Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting STO Building Group's Marketing team; connecting data, systems, and business insights to help marketing leaders make informed decisions. Rather than owning a single functional area, this position works across multiple marketing workflows—including Creative, Communications, Digital Communications, Marketing Technology, and Winning Work—to identify opportunities, measure performance, improve processes, and enable more strategic, data-driven marketing.
The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, highly organized, and passionate about understanding markets, clients, and industry dynamics.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Research
Marketing Analytics & Performance Insights

Business Intelligence & Workflow Optimization
- Serve as the analytics partner to functional marketing teams by identifying opportunities to Improve workflows through data analysis and business intelligence.
- Evaluate operational processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or efficiency gains.
- Partner with workflow owners to answer business questions through analytical solutions rather than anecdotal decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through reporting, benchmarking, forecasting, and process analysis.
Strategic Planning & Growth Support
- Partner with Strategic Growth team to review and debrief each Business Unit’s Strategic Business Plans annually to determine areas for marketing to support overall growth initiatives.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses for new marketing initiatives, technology investments, and process improvements.
- Identify emerging trends in AI, automation, and marketing analytics that can improve marketing performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support data-driven decision making.
Position Requirements |
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, Analytics, Construction Management, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing analytics, market research, strategy, business development, consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
