Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our IT Asset Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to IT assets to help drive informed business decisions. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Interpretation:
    • Collect and interpret data related to IT assets from various sources including asset management systems, inventories, and financial records.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by verifying and cross-referencing data from multiple sources.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze complex data sets related to IT assets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
    • Use statistical techniques and software tools to process and analyze IT asset data.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Create data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to communicate IT asset data insights to stakeholders.
  • Database Management:
    • Develop and maintain databases and data systems specific to IT asset management.
    • Ensure data systems are optimized for performance and accuracy.
  • Data Cleaning and Preprocessing:
    • Clean and preprocess raw IT asset data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
    • Identify and rectify data discrepancies and anomalies in IT asset records.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship or coursework experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management principles and practices.
  • Experience with data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
  • Understanding of data governance and best practices in data management.

  • Regular communication.
  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
Salary Range:
  • $70K-$1000K
  • The final salary can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, educational background, and certifications.
