Position open to 2019 - 2020 rising juniors and seniors only.

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: 

The IT Intern – Business Analyst will help facilitate solutions for internal business and IT stakeholders on projects.  The BA Intern will work with the development team in pulling together designs and driving solutions of web applications. Involved with testing and production implementations for web applications. The Intern will also have the opportunity to participate in departmental meetings within the department to gain better knowledge of the operations. 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports to senior member of the MSC technical team
• Gathers business requirements and functional specifications for projects
• Performs testing for application changes
• Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
• Supports assigned manager with project work.
• Presents intern project results to IT leaders.
• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
• Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• 2019 – 2020 Rising Junior or Senior
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
• IT work experience a plus.

SKILLS:

• Proficient user of Productivity Tools (Email, Spreadsheets etc…) and Web Browser software required.
• Course curriculum in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent technical discipline required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
• Positive, high-energy approach to assignments and a willingness to learn required.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting preferred.
• Familiarity with programming concepts desired.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Confirmed 3.3 GPA required.
