IT Data Analyst

About this position:
Position supports business units by performing advanced data extraction, reporting, analysis, and consultative services to drive and evaluate performance of Company’s products and services. Responsible for providing summary performance data to support multiple levels of management in daily operations management and service delivery optimization and provide other data reporting in support of special projects. This position is not a remote position and is 100% in the office in Glens Falls, New York.
Responsibilities
> Maintain inventory and develop deep working knowledge of information available from all authorized data sources.
> Acquire data from existing relational database sources; identify, as needed, external data required to meet task objectives.
> Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques to identify any data deficiencies, significant trends, outliers, and to estimate product precision and accuracy.
> Filter and clean data as necessary to provide desired level of quality in final work product; identify problems with data capture, design, and architecture.
> Identify and define meaningful metrics to deliver high quality, actionable, and efficient reporting to drive business decisions.
> Provide management with applicable recommendations for data collection or clean-up efforts that would benefit Company in future.
> Assist business units in data-driven campaigns, analysis, KPIs, tracking, and advanced analytic models.

Education/Certifications:
> Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
> 6+ years of experience in one of the following areas: software development, quality assurance, operational risk, or data analysis
Skills/Knowledge:
> Solid knowledge of financial products and services
> Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable collaborating with co-workers, management, and vendors
> Proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
> Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimal instruction
> > Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proven experience producing database reports using reporting tools including Crystal Reports, SQL, and Cognos
> Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
> Experience translating business requirements to functional requirements
Physical Demands
> Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.
> Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.
> Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs.

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 commensurate with experience and education.
Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s annual bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
