We are looking to offer a HR Data Analyst the opportunity to join our expanding People Services team based in Stevenage. 


About the team



This role forms part of the energetic People Services team, one part of the wider People team, in an ever-growing business. The team is made up of 23 which includes a team of Payroll specialists and Transactional coordinators, who work alongside this role in providing services to around 11,000 colleagues. There is lots of change and plenty of things to fix with a real opportunity to make an impact.



About the role


As the HR Data Analyst, you will be a standalone position in terms of People Data and the way it is used and relayed back to the business. Initially this will involve understanding the landscape of HR Data and HRIS, becoming the go-to person for HR data and people analytics to help support business initiatives, process improvements and where necessary, present data and insights to HR representatives and senior leadership teams.


There will be the option to work from home one day per week with the rest spent in the office.

As the HR Data Analyst, you’ll get the opportunity to:



  • Ensure the integrity of the HR data (HR, Payroll, Recruitment and L&D) and synchronisation across the various data points and sources, ensuring that all data sets are one version of truth

  • Build and maintain a schedule of HR reporting and help develop our analytics capability by ultimately building dashboards, which assists the business in understanding and enables us to be make data driven and insight led decisions

  • Ensure we deliver our reporting and analytics on HR administration, resourcing, talent, reward & benefit activities and employee engagement including development and reporting of KPIs

  • Ensure that data is in a format that is easily interpreted by stakeholders and that the HR team has a good understanding of the relevant data and format

  • Ensure that where appropriate that any data and reporting provides insight and identifies any assumptions and /or possible impacts by providing commentary and provides effective visualisation of data, always with the end user in mind


What you’ll bring?



  • Experience of working with HR data sets

  • Aptitude in data analysis, reporting and data visualisation

  • Exceptional skills in Excel and data manipulation

  • Experience of working with an HR system

  • Experience of working with incomplete or inconsistent data sets

  • Ability to prioritise and able to work to competing priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to turn data into intelligence, insights and analysis

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion environment is preferred

  • Experience of using Power BI is preferred
