To assist in the effective operation of the Human Resources Department and the company by providing timely and accurate maintenance of HRIS databases and distribution of HRIS information. Responsibilities: • Provide support for HRIS system development, trouble-shoot program errors and perform unit/user testing on newly developed programs; offer ad hoc assistance to users on various application problems. • Oversee the recording of employee information, such as: personnel action forms (e107•s), termination documentation, address changes, reporting manager updates, phone related information for Outlook & VanNET, etc. Provide help in data entry and research when necessary. • Maintain Lawson system tables: grade, title, process level, location information, general ledger, user fields, check sorts, etc. • Manage the Payroll and HR Inboxes. Provide timely answers to basic questions in both boxes and route other inquires to HR team members. • Perform Bank of America Positive Pay verification process. • Create/maintain the electronic HR Policies and Procedures and the HR documents and forms that are stored on VanNET for use on HRNet. Aid members of HR with suggestions to documents to make them more interactive and useful to the end users. • Aid other members of the department with system related problems. • Handle miscellaneous data gathering/entry projects and data integrity. • Generate/maintain/distribute/file HRIS reports. Review reports to determine basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distributions and purpose or function. • Consult with people originating, handling, processing or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements: • Maintain report specification/distribution lists • Handle confidential and rush reports • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as required. • Provide payroll support as needed. Skills: • Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of projects and their deadlines concurrently • Ability to work with minimum supervision; willing to take initiative • Clear understanding of corporate structure and ability to interface with managers at a variety of levels • Discretion in dealing with people and confidential information • Strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw appropriate conclusions • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Education: • 3-4 years experience in Human Resources or related field • 2-3 years experience working with Crystal Reports • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Windows XP • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
