The role
The Grade VIII Data and Analytics postholder will lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data across the region, ensuring it is transformed into actionable insights that support patient care, service management, and strategic decision-making. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality data standards while providing timely, evidence-based outputs to drive service improvement and inform operational and clinical priorities
The person
This campaign is confined to staff who are currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies*, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 as per Workplace Relations Commission agreement -161867
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
· Hold a major academic award at Level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) in a relevant field, i.e. IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
And
· Significant experience working in a data and information management role in a complex multi-stakeholder environment to include experience in the use of data visualisation software such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Lumira or Qlikview
And
· Significant experience in extracting, processing and analysing large volumes of numerical data to include experience in SQL and Python or R to acquire, transform and extract insights from large complex datasets.
And
· Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to this role.
· Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
