POSITION SUMMARY

The Safety and Flight Data Analyst processes day-to-day Safety and FDM data using statistical software and performs routine data analysis. The Flight Data Analyst creates weekly and monthly deliverables in addition to working with members of the Safety and FDM team to improve safety and efficiency throughout the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the FDM Program Manager with daily administration of the FDM efforts to ensure analysis of flight data for improved flight safety including validation of FDM events, identification of events for pilot outreach and identification of events for Maintenance reporting
• Performs safety data and root cause analysis of digital flight data to determine adverse events, trends in flight and maintenance operations. Coordinates and validates aircraft specific event definitions, maintains and identifies new trigger events and manages documentation supporting these functions
• Prepares safety and FDM trending analysis charts and reports. Compiles and presents FDM data summaries to enhance training, maintenance, flight operations. Performs specialized studies and fulfills special data requests. Assists in creation of Safety Department publications. Prepares reports, presentations, and statistical data required to identify trends for safety and maintenance enhancement
• Oversees data collections process of aircraft fleet in conjunction with the Maintenance department
• Additional tasks as directed by the EU Safety Director and FDM Program Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor�s degree in Aviation Management, Business Management, Safety Management, or related degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 1-2 years� prior experience Flight Data Analysis in aviation, or equivalent transportation industry similar and relevant experience preferred
• Familiarity with system safety, data analysis and exploitation, trending and risk management. Experience of advanced Data Analytics and Business Information processing and presentation is ideal

REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILLS

• Must possess the legal ability to work in Europe and/or the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of the UK/EU and US and to all cities/countries where Flexjet serves.
• Advanced proficiency with data processing and business intelligence tools, (MS Excel, Power BI, SQL, Data warehousing and APIs)
• Excellent analytical skills and an appetite for seeking out correlations and causations between different data sets
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to write effective reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to speak effectively on known topics and present to audiences including senior management,
• Must be detail oriented with a proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Powerpoint & Outlook)
