We are seeking a dedicated Finance Business Analyst to join our team and support our organisation in achieving its target states and business outcomes.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders and leading impactful change initiatives across the business, you'll be at the forefront of defining, analysing, and executing business change strategies. Leveraging your expertise in business modelling, process mapping, and analytical techniques to identify gaps, prioritize business outcomes, you'll ensure successful delivery.

Working flexibly, you'll spend most of your time working from home, with a day a week in the office - its great to collaborate - right? (so living close to Haywards Heath, West Sussex would be perfect), But of course, it’s your choice - if you prefer to be in the office more - that's good with us too.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

    • Demonstrable understanding of Business Analysis and Change Management tools and techniques.
    • Experience in analysing business models, capabilities, value streams, and processes.
    • Knowledge of business process management, workflow, and integration methods.
    • Strong analytical, conceptual, and anticipatory skills; adept at statistical and information analysis.

    What's involved:

    • Collaborates with stakeholders involved in strategy formulation and definition of target states
    • Review current and target business-states, applying business modelling and analytical techniques (e.g. process mapping, SWOT analysis, options analysis, statistical and database analysis) in order to identify and prioritise gaps
    • Provide analytical expertise to support Stakeholders/SME in the definition, documentation and prioritisation of Business Outcomes and themes and their associated benefits
    • Provide critical analysis of business outcomes through a variety of techniques, validating and collaborating across teams to refine them into Epics, ready for delivery
    • Support the Head of Strategy Delivery and Change Finance in the creation and management of the Portfolio Roadmap
    • Help resolve competing in-pillar priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
    • Instigate, prepare, facilitate and lead meetings, workshops and presentations for a wide range of audiences, demonstrating consistently high qualities of communication and strong powers of influence
    • Develop close working relationships with Subject Matter Experts, Heads of Department, Project/Programme Managers and Sponsors to drive decisions
    • Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps
    • Define to-be business processes, supporting change delivery (Project Management, L&D, Legal, Data & Technology, etc)
    • Identify and assist in prioritising opportunities to streamline business processes
    • Support the roll-out of change within the business pillar(s)
    • Contribute to the setting of standards and processes for the Business Analysis Community of Practice and ensure these are adhered to and best practice is followed to support a fully agile change and development environment.

    What we're looking for:

    Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

    • Quick comprehension of business objectives, structures, operations, and policies.
    • Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
    • Demonstrable understanding of Business Analysis and Change Management tools and techniques.
    • Experience in analysing business models, capabilities, value streams, and processes.
    • Knowledge of business process management, workflow, and integration methods.
    • Strong analytical, conceptual, and anticipatory skills; adept at statistical and information analysis.
    • Proven experience in Agile change frameworks and iterative business analysis.
    • Preferably from an Insurance or Financial Services background, but other backgrounds considered.
    • Experienced in facilitating change, defining/re-engineering processes, and developing new services/products.
    • Knowledge of structured yet agile approaches to analysis and change, including FCA requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
    • Effective under pressure, with clear and logical thinking in challenging situations.
    • Strong workshop and meeting facilitation skills.
    • Skilled in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Experienced in various elicitation techniques such as interviews, prototypes, workshops, focus groups, observation, user task analysis, wireframing, documentation study, surveys, and process re-engineering.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Preferred: Business Analysis and/or Business Architecture certification/formal qualification and understanding of Finance processes and terminology.
