Role: Equity Sector Data Analyst

Location(s): London, New York 

Position Overview:

  • Generate data-driven insights and ideas for the equity fundamental research team
  • Collaborate with various areas of the firm, such as fundamental research, alternative data, data engineering, and data sourcing, to share results, ideas, feedback, and custom tools
  • Perform tasks such as estimating and projecting key performance indicators (KPIs) for companies or sectors, testing hypotheses using data analysis, building screeners, evaluating new and existing datasets for relevance and quality
  • Understand the fundamental models used by the analysts and develop data-driven variables that can be plugged into these models
  • Evaluate a new dataset for a specific sector or stock
  • Create a custom dashboard or a new feature for the fundamental desk
  • Run data-driven studies to confirm or deny a hypothesis for a given idea

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field
  • Strong programming skills, proficiency in SQL and Python required
  • Experience in analyzing complex data sets, research experience with alternative data is a plus
  • Industry experience in fundamental analysis preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams globally
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to multitask well in a fast-paced environment

The minimum base salary for this role is $60,000 if located in New York.  This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting.  This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation.  This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions.  Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
