Purpose of this role

The Digital Marketing and Data Analyst Executive at the Irish Management Institute (IMI) plays a pivotal role in analysing and interpreting data to enhance marketing strategies and drive business outcomes. This position is integral to the success of the Marketing and Business & Client Development teams by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, enhance client acquisition, and promote revenue growth.

The Digital Marketing and Data Analyst Executive will focus on technical aspects of digital marketing, utilizing advanced analytical tools and methodologies to track performance metrics, interpret consumer behaviour, and develop actionable recommendations. By harnessing data analytics, the role aims to refine marketing initiatives and contribute significantly to achieving strategic objectives within the organization.

This is a full time (35-hour week) permanent role. With a salary of €34,000 -€35,500 depending on experience.

Work Location and Virtual Work: This role is based at IMI’s headquarters in Dublin 16 (D16 X8C3). Travel within Ireland and, occasionally, internationally may be required to attend meetings, conferences and client engagements.

Key responsibilities

Digital Marketing Campaign Development:

  • Design and execute targeted email campaigns.
  • Planning and execution of events (e.g., briefings, tradeshows, conferences) by conducting market research and analysing attendee data to enhance event effectiveness.
  • Maintain brand documentation and update website content, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and best practices.

Data-Driven Marketing Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform the development of effective marketing strategies.
  • Utilise advanced analytical tools to track and measure the performance of digital marketing initiatives across various channels, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports on digital marketing performance metrics, using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush, to analyse user behaviour and campaign effectiveness.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Work closely with the graphic design team to produce compelling marketing collateral, including digital and print advertising, newsletters, and thought leadership materials.
  • Create and optimise engaging social media content, including organic posts and paid campaigns, utilizing platforms like Meta Ad Manager to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Design and implement email marketing templates and manage audience segmentation on Mailchimp, ensuring the delivery of targeted and relevant content to clients.

Client Engagement and Relationship Analysis:

  • Nurture and maintaining strong client relationships through data-driven insights and personalized marketing approaches.
  • Monitor and analyse client interactions and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in customer service and engagement strategies.
  • Explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities, utilising data analytics to pinpoint potential areas for increased revenue

Performance Reporting and Optimisation:

  • Set up dashboards on Looker Studio to visualise key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing analytics, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Generate comprehensive performance reports that analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies, guiding future marketing initiatives and budget allocation.
  • Participate in ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and enhance the organisation’s market position.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Skilled in utilising analytics tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush to monitor performance metrics and derive actionable insights from data.
    • Ability to conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies and improve decision-making.
    • Proficient in setting up social dashboards to visualise KPIs and marketing performance metrics for stakeholders.
  2. Digital Marketing Expertise:
    • Proficient in creating and executing targeted email campaigns using MSD360 and Mailchimp, focusing on audience segmentation and engagement metrics.
    • Strong knowledge of SEO strategies, including on-page and off-page optimisation, keyword research, and content creation.
    • Experience in managing and optimising paid advertising campaigns across social media platforms e.g., Meta Ad Manager and Google Ads.
  3. Content Development and Management:
    • Expertise in collaborating with graphic design teams to produce high-quality marketing collateral, including digital and print materials, newsletters, and social media content.
    • Strong creative skills in designing engaging and visually appealing social media creatives using tools like Canva.
    • Capable of maintaining and updating brand documentation and website content to ensure alignment with overall marketing strategies.
  4. Event Coordination and Support:
    • Experience in organising and executing events such as briefings, tradeshows, and conferences, including market research and attendee analysis to enhance effectiveness.
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and event logistics.
  5. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Strong interpersonal skills to assist the sales team in nurturing client relationships through personalized marketing strategies and data-driven insights.
    • Proficient in monitoring client interactions and feedback to improve service delivery and engagement.
  6. Communication and Presentation Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and clear presentation of data insights and marketing strategies.
    • Proven ability to prepare professional reports and presentations that articulate marketing performance and recommendations.
  7. Project Management and Organizational Skills:
    • Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
    • Experience in coordinating marketing activities and maintaining internal calendars to streamline workflow.
  8. Continuous Learning and Adaptability:
    • Demonstrated eagerness to stay updated on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, as evidenced by relevant certifications in areas such as SEO, Email Marketing, and Google Ads.
    • Ability to adapt strategies based on performance data and market feedback, ensuring ongoing improvement in marketing effectiveness.
    • Ability to adapt to any other tasks that may be reasonably required.
