In this role, you will work at the intersection of data analytics, abuse prevention, and operational intelligence, helping identify harmful behaviors while improving protections for legitimate users. You will play a key role in building scalable detection frameworks, monitoring critical safety metrics, and driving data-informed decisions across the organization. Working closely with engineering, operations, and data teams, you will contribute to systems that directly impact platform reliability and user experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex analytical challenges, working with large datasets, and creating meaningful operational impact through data.

Accountabilities:

  • Conduct root-cause investigations into suspicious activity, behavioral anomalies, and unexpected spikes in platform events
  • Analyze abuse patterns, behavioral signals, and trust & safety trends to identify emerging risks and improve detection capabilities
  • Define, track, and optimize key operational and enforcement metrics such as detection speed, false-positive rates, and policy coverage
  • Build dashboards, reports, and monitoring systems to provide both real-time and historical visibility into platform activity and violations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of detection signals and analytical models, including precision, recall, overlap, and drift analysis
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines, ensuring data quality, completeness, and freshness
  • Partner with operational and engineering stakeholders to test policy changes, measure outcomes, and iterate on detection strategies
  • Support scalable decision-making frameworks that enhance platform safety while minimizing friction for legitimate users

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, trust & safety, fraud prevention, or security-related environments
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using modern BI and analytics tools such as Looker, Mode, Metabase, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with large-scale event datasets and performing complex analytical investigations
  • Strong understanding of metrics development, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making methodologies
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts including estimation, sampling, validation, and analytical testing frameworks
  • Experience evaluating predictive or classification models and understanding model performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments
  • Interest in online safety, abuse prevention, fraud detection, or platform integrity operations is highly valued
  • Ability to work collaboratively in remote and cross-functional team environments
