BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB


The Team Lead – Master Data position is responsible for ensuring Insight’s master data maintained to established standards.  This includes overseeing work performed by Master Data Specialists and Master Data Analysts as well as interaction with other internal and external groups.  This position requires independent decision making as well as interpretation and enforcement of department and company policies.

Teammate Training and Supervision



  • Train new team members and assist with on-going development

  • Monitor teammate performance and provide feedback

  • Address areas of need with manager and teammates

  • Conduct regular team meetings

  • Assist with the completion of team deliverables as needed


 


Department Leadership



  • Audit master data specialists performance and ensure data elements are maintained according to company standards

  • Identify and drive system/process enhancements to enhance quality of information

  • Maintain strong working relationship with data providers, vendors, and partners

  • Ensure data needs are met for management, partners, IT and other internal departments

  • Identify future data needs and implement necessary steps to meet them

  • Take responsibility for completing projects and assignments as necessary


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Education and/or Experience:


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience.  Minimum 5 year of experience working with large customer databases is preferable.


 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Highly articulate and professional in both oral and written communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation to achieve desired result

  • Demonstrated ability to understand processes and identify areas of improvement. 

  • Ambitious, flexible and positive. A self-starter who can work under general supervision and adapts well to a dynamic work environment

  • Ability to evaluate and correct teammate behavior

  • Ability to instruct and train others.

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and analytic tools

  • Familiar with data management and data providers
