Data Analyst - Simphony

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with expertise in hospitality cloud systems, specifically focusing on Simphony Point of Sale (POS) implementations and enterprise-wide system integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining complex data models, creating end-to-end (E2E) data flow diagrams, and ensuring seamless integration between Simphony and core business systems.

 Key Responsibilities:

- Design comprehensive data models for Simphony POS implementation

- Create detailed Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams & Develop robust data architecture that supports scalable hospitality solutions

- Define data standardization and normalization strategies

- Develop end-to-end (E2E) data flow diagrams & Map integration points between Simphony and core enterprise systems

- Create technical documentation for complex data integration processes

- Establish data quality frameworks, Develop data governance guidelines for Simphony implementations

- Identify and document integration requirements & data models for Simphony POS to :

• Property Management Systems (Opera)
  
• HR Systems
  
• Financial reporting systems (Fusion)
  
• Inventory management solutions
  
• Loyalty and rewards programs
  

- Exceptional analytical thinking & Strong communication abilities

- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

- Reports to: Enterprise architect in Whitbread & ability to present the data model to architecture forums and seek approvals

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of experience in data analysis and system integration

- Proven experience with POS systems or Hospitality technology ecosystem

- Advanced skills in data modeling and architecture design

- Proficiency in:

  - SQL and database management

  - Data modeling tools (ERwin, Visio)

  - Diagramming tools (Lucidchart, Draw.io)

Preferred Certifications:

- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
