Role Overview

This is a Fixed‑Term Contract (FTC) role through December 2026, offering the chance to contribute to bp’s Golden Phoenix programme — a major digital and data investment driving growth and innovation. As a Data Analyst, you’ll join a collaborative team using AI‑driven models to transform gasoline blending processes, helping bp make faster decisions, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable impact.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with diverse data sources to prepare insights and structured datasets.
• Support machine learning models that predict blend outcomes and improve planning.
• Partner with data science colleagues to refine analytics and confidence levels.
• Integrate ML models into Excel workflows to streamline decision‑making.
• Improve processes, support testing, and ensure tools remain reliable.
• Share clear updates with interested parties and document risks, benefits, and scope.

Essential Education

• University degree or equivalent experience or equivalent qualification.
• Membership in a professional or technical body (e.g., PMI or equivalent experience).
• Formal certification enabling specialist work or processes.

Essential Experience / Job Requirements

• Familiarity with the ST&S business model and operations.
• Skills in data analysis and manipulation (Excel, Python preferred).
• Good communication skills to engage participants.
• Ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience with data ingestion tools and platforms (e.g., Gordon).
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and predictive modelling.
