As a part of its continued growth, and in line with the principle of being born digital, Lockton Re’s Business Technology team are currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join the team. This will see you take on a key role in supporting the business with reporting requests and the creation and development of MI packs across the business analytics suite.

 

Whilst not an exhaustive list, the following key tasks and duties will be included in the role:

  • Utilise SQL expertise to query, transform, and manipulate complex data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Create monthly executive and divisional MI packs, circulate for feedback and narrative and produce final versions in time for various leadership meetings.
  • Collaborate with teams and managers to translate business needs into easy to understand reports and dashboards.
  • Dive deep into complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the organisation as well as participate in the MI Committee to understand business needs and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Participate in global data projects to create data models and complete data mapping.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, BI tooling, and data visualisation techniques.

Candidate Profile

By it's nature, this is a technical position requiring relevant coding and systems experience where prior (re)insurance experience will be beneficial. More specifically, the following skills will be beneficial to you coming into this role:

 

  • Proficiency in SQL development with a strong grasp of database management systems.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding and experience within Azure environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and scripting.
  • Reinsurance and OpenTwins experience a plus
  • Financial services experience
