Data Analyst
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Data Analyst who will be a key support to the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) and Commander, Naval Surforces (CNSF) in San Diego, CA.
Job Description:
- Perform analysis of Navy training and manning resources and provide recommendations for manpower and training.
- Review Navy Training Systems Plans (NTSP) and provide recommendations to CNSF, OPNAV, and the Navy training commands.
- Analyze data and detect trends as well as summarize findings, draw conclusions and put together reports and presentations for leadership.
- Assist in annual review of training requirements in support of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process.
Qualifications:
- Navy operational experience with emphasis on manning and training development and delivery.
- Experience in reviewing, updating and evaluating Navy Training Management corporate database systems such as CeTARS and FLTMPS.
- Must have a High School diploma and at least 3 years’ experience with Navy corporate database systems such as CeTARS and FLTMPS
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and interface with senior military and civilian leadership
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the annual review of training requirements in support of the Program Objective Memorandum process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain the clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional Travel- less than 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. (More information regarding REAL ID can be found: ).
Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia).
