Data Analyst – Reading, PA
We have an immediate opening for a Data Analyst at our Corporate Office.
Hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
Must be local, this is a HYBRID role
Data Analyst I will support operations and conduct data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Analyze data and determine the best way to represent it visually to managers and stakeholders.
- Constructs data sets, monitors data quality, troubleshoots and resolves database issues to ensure data integrity.
- Analyzes data sets and catalogs for quality, security and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure quality assurance and process documentation.
- Assess and determine the success of current initiatives while also locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Utilizes scripting and querying tools to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of systems, reports and analysis.
- Assist in the management and design of the reporting environment, including data sources, security and metadata.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
Essential Skills:
- Four-year college or university program certificate.
- Experience working in a business office environment.
- 1+ years’ experience with SQL or Python.
- 1+ years’ experience working with Databricks (Azure or AWS) or Fabric.
- Experience with ETL, APIs and integrations.
- Experience with Machine Learning.
- Experience with Predictive Analytics.
- Experience with Azure.
- Ability to execute multiple simultaneous tasks which includes team members across IT and the business.
- Problem solving skills and knowledge of solving application-related user requests and issues.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize published procedures and workflows to understand and troubleshoot IT and business processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a high work ethic, self-motivation, and strong initiative.
Ability to travel to job site locations and vendors as required, with proper documentation needed for independent travel (credit card, valid driver’s license, passport).
