We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a client General Ledger programme with a Tier 1 investment bank.









Responsibilities






While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of core data analytics capabilities within the division.
  • Define the strategic roadmap for data analytics initiatives and drive the execution of key projects to enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior talent within the data analytics team.
  • Align data analytics initiatives with the organization's overall data strategy.
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure that data analytics efforts are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Forge strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Collaborate closely to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value and inform decision-making.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for senior executive audiences. Develop compelling narratives, visualizations, and presentations to communicate insights and drive alignment on key strategic initiatives.
  • Regularly assess and optimize processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.








Qualifications






  • Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
  • 10 – 12 years of relevant industry experience
  • Domain expertise across Operations and Finance functions and tools.
  • Expert knowledge in end-to-end transaction lifecycle process. 
  • Large, complex implementations and transformation program expertise in finance and/or operations.  
  • Extensive knowledge in migration techniques and tools to ensure seamless transition of data from legacy to new GL platform. 
  • Extensive knowledge of process improvement with a track record of streamlining operational or finance process. 
  • General ledger Expertise, with good understanding of GL, systems, their functionalities, and best practice implementing.  
  • Knowledge of both Markets and Banking products from transaction booking to cash settlement and controls therein.  
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
