The Opportunity 

Hult International Business School is seeking a Data Analyst to join the External Affairs team based in London, UK. The post-holder will work closely with the Data and Analytics Manager and have a unique opportunity to positively impact the organisation by providing data analytics, developing actionable insights and delivering exceptional business value. 

The role suits an individual with an analytical mindset. The successful candidate will have a few years’ experience working with data and analytics and be able to work under pressure. Attention to detail is critical as the work will support decision-making across the business.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Supporting major statutory student returns, optimising the impact of those returns and using the resultant data to support the organisation.

  • Collecting and analysing internal and external data and preparing reports, forecasts, models and ‘what if’ scenarios. 
  • Consulting with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Academic teams, etc.) to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights.

  • Collating data from multiple sources and databases including sales, marketing, operations, market trends and competition, finance and customer databases to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making. 

  • Designing and building reports, dashboards and analyses in Excel, SQL, Python, Salesforce, Tableau, Snowflake. 

 

Essential Requirements

  • A few years’ experience (typically 2–3 years) in a data analyst or similar analytical role
  • Exceptionally motivated, curious and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and business needs – analytical mindset is key
  • Understanding of database capabilities and experience of integrating, structuring and analysing large amounts of data from diverse sources
  • Ability to prioritise, meet challenging deadlines and instil urgency
  • Flexible, open-minded and agile
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated strength in reporting, planning and project management skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability and desire to collaborate with key business stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong SQL skills required; experience with Python, Tableau and Snowflake is highly desirable
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Codex, Claude code or similar) and modern development environments such as VS Code to accelerate analysis, coding and reporting workflows
