AllSci is an innovative startup revolutionizing the creation, publication, and consumption of scientific knowledge. AllSci’s platform allows researchers to publish all their ideas and results, explore the scientific knowledgebase in new ways, and get credit for their contributions to the dialogue. The platform will lead to significantly increased volume, value, and machine readability of scientific information and will address the issues of incentives, trust, and reproducibility that plague research today. AllSci has assembled a strong team of AI technologists and industry veterans and plans to launch its platform in 2024.

POSITION
AllSci is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to drive the development of data pipelines and maintain data quality. This individual will work with the technology and product teams to identify data sources, ingest and integrate data, and develop a data management platform leveraging automated and outsourced manual processes. Sponsorship will not be provided.

Data Acquisition & Integrity

    • Work with Product Director and management team to determine a list of data sources to integrate into the AllSci platform
    • Structure, standardize, format, model, and clean data for platform ingestion 
    • Work with engineering team to build automated and semi-automated production level processing and integration pipelines

Quality Control

    • Develop a quality management system including both automated and manual steps for incoming and existing data on the platform
    • Prepare and maintain best practice documentation for QC processes

Platform Management

    • Oversee the Data Management Platform, ensuring smooth operation and data accuracy
    • Develop tools and processes to maximize data integration efficiency and quality control leveraging automated and manual processes
    • Own the master data in the platform and oversee its growth and maintenance 

Reporting & Analytics

    • Generate detailed reports and analytics on data flowing through the platform
    • Translate data insights into actionable strategies in collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams

Vendor Management

    • Manage a team of offshore data analysts and contractors
    • Ensure vendors adhere to best practices and QC standards

Experience

    • 2-6 years of hands-on experience working with data associated with organizations, people, clinical trials, and scientific journal
    • Proficiency in data models, data process design, and analyst focused interfaces
    • Strong background in data analysis, statistic methodologies, and data comparison
    • Exposure to python, streamlit applications

Skills

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large volumes of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and manage external teams effectively
    • Passion for data and advancing science

Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information science, statistics or a related field
