What you will be doing as a Data Analyst…

  • Coordinate the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data analysis, metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. with a view to drive successful business decisions.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and conduct research as necessary to prepare, process, analyze, and share reports and dashboards, fostering data driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate the closing of data quality gaps by identifying areas that need to be changed and escalating as necessary to drive process improvement.
  • Support integration of new data sources into the data warehouse and identify key performance indicators that reflect business performance.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to facilitate and execute high-quality, data-driven decisions.
  • Simplify and automate reporting, and other data activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders.
  • Solve complex and broad business problems with analytically derived solutions, applying appropriate analytical best practices.
  • Deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing performance, improving efficiencies, and reducing costs, collaborating with cross-functional teams as required.
  • Actively and thoughtfully communicate with their supervisor, planning their goals and development, taking accountability for their actions, and striving for excellence.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Data Analyst…
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or equivalent related experience.
  • Three to five years’ experience in an analytics role at a financial institution.
  • Three to five years’ experience in data analysis using SQL.
  • Three to five years’ experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions).
  • Knowledge of relational database design, querying, data modeling and data warehouse preferred.
  • Advanced data gathering and data analytic skills.
  • Ability to have a high level of integrity and handle confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
