Your new role and environment.

As a Data Analyst, you are responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from extracting raw data via APIs to delivering high-level strategic dashboards in Power BI. You will be a key player in our digital transformation, moving our legacy SQL environment into a modern Databricks Medallion Architecture.

Within the team you will take the lead in transitioning our dimensional star models into the Databricks environment. You will become a domain knowledge expert that handles the ingestion, processing, and visualization of global IT initiatives that could include, finance, project planning, resource management, or continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • Modernize: Lead the migration of our legacy SQL/Stored Procedure environment to a cutting-edge Databricks Medallion architecture.
  • Engineer: Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Azure resources to ingest data from diverse sources (APIs, flat files, databases).
  • Analyze: Translate complex process, financial, and project portfolio data into actionable insights that drive the Enterprise Platforms' strategy.
  • Visualize: Design and optimize sophisticated Power BI reports utilizing advanced DAX and Power Query to tell a compelling story.
  • Consult: Act as a partner to the business, gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating "business questions" into "technical solutions."
  • Optimize: Ensure the reliability of our Azure environment through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Quality: Identify data quality issues and set up rules and checks to improve.

Requirements.

  • Education: You have a Bachelor’s Degree in in a data and analysis heavy field or equivalent work experience and practical knowledge
  • Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Python/Spark Savvy: You are at a "Medior+" level with Python, comfortable writing complex classes and functions to handle API extractions and data transformations.
  • Power BI Expert: You possess "Senior" level skills in Power BI, including complex DAX, performance optimization, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Cloud literate: You have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
  • SQL fluent: You are highly proficient in T-SQL and understand how to refactor stored procedures into modern code.
  • Communicator: You have excellent English skills and the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Advantage: Experience with financial data or working within a large-scale, international multi-vendor environment is a significant plus.
