Position Summary

As a Data Analyst at Mavely, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, analyze data, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Data, you will support our mission to leverage data for growth and innovation.

 

Essential Functions

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to Mavely's products and services. Deliver actionable insights that inform business strategies and decisions.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with engineering teams, marketing, finance and other departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Build strong relationships to ensure alignment on data-driven initiatives.

  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, or Looker. Present key findings to stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business health and uncover growth opportunities. Provide regular updates and recommendations for improvement.

  • Data Governance and Quality: Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing best practices for data collection, management, and reporting. Participate in data governance initiatives to uphold standards and compliance.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization in data handling and reporting. Streamline workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field, preferably within a fast-paced business environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Strong Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, Power BI, Looker). Familiarity with data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights. A proactive mindset towards problem-solving and data exploration.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various teams and departments to achieve shared goals.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
