The Data Analyst is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) solutions that convert data into knowledge. The Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to identify and provide business insights through interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:

  • Develop, publish, and schedule interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive visualizations.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all BI processes and systems.

 

Requirement Gathering:

  • Collaborate with business users to understand their analytics needs and translate these into technical requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

 

Data Management:

  • Extract, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement data models, datasets, and calculations within Power BI to support reporting and analytics.

 

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize dashboard performance through effective data modeling, DAX coding, and query optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

 

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends to continuously improve BI capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

 

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with Power BI and data visualization.
    • Experience with SQL, DAX, and data modeling.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

 

  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Power BI or related BI tools.
  • Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView.
  • Understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics.
