Data Analyst

PPG’s SSG-OLED Process Development provides cutting-edge solutions and services to our client Universal Display Corporation (UDC), driving progress and efficiency in OLED Process Development activities. We pride ourselves in our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our SSG-OLED team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to communicate insights effectively.

This is a fixed term role - 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather data from various sources, including databases, process development, QA, Manufacturing, client (UDC) and web scraping tools.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through regular cleaning and validation processes.
• Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Utilize data visualization tools to present data in an accessible and actionable manner.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement data solutions and enhancements.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and concise findings.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical team members and leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., R, Python), statistical software (e.g., JMP, Minitab), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with SQL and database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms preferred.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, QlikView) preferred.
