Who will you be working with?

Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures, and tests industrial turbochargers supplied into the Power Generation, Marine, and Rail Traction industries.

Role: Data Analyst

Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hybrid: 2 Days working from home (Monday & Friday), 3 Days in the office on successful completion of your probation period.

How will you make a difference?

The successful candidate will join our Production Logistics team, bringing a flexible and accountable approach to several key areas. Responsibilities include overseeing and optimising turbocharger planning to align with production demand, managing MRP demand planning to ensure smooth inventory flow, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to support productivity and quality targets.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Support the maintenance and use of the business systems and databases, ensuring all systems are necessary and integrated, achieving the concept of 'data input once, used many times'.
  • Support the development of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and other data connections between data sets.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a centralised reporting and dashboard service using current technologies.
  • Ensuring accurate information is presented for the Leadership Team.
  • Develop, integrate and maintain dataflows between databases.
  • Develop software solutions to provide efficiencies in processes and reduce administrative workloads.
  • Work with and support operational colleagues in defining functional specification and subsequently converting to technical specifications.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Familiar with data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power Apps and Power BI (or similar).
  • Comprehensive understanding of query joins and it's applications within SQL queries
  • Ideally you will have proven experience of working in a manufacturing environment with a number of different departments.
  • Excellent personal organisation and time management skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment and under own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to liaise with all departments within the business.
