Job Summary: |
The University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz School of Medicine (SOM) Research Office, within the Dean’s Office, is seeking an experienced and skilled Data Analyst to lead data analysis, reporting, and visualization for Biomedical Research activities and Service Centers, and for Centers and Institutes in the School of Medicine. This position will report to the Research Office Manager.
In this role, the Data Analyst will serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for the unit, analyze research-related financial and operational data, build dashboards, and support leadership in answering strategic questions. Strong analytical and visualization capabilities are critical. Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills are also important, as the Data Analyst will work closely with research leadership, finance, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and actionable insights.
Specific projects may include\: Tracking research expenditures of faculty receiving SOM grant funding; tracking requests, expenditures, and future commitments of Centers and Institutes; building dashboards for visualization of activities of SOM research cores, Centers, or Institutes (with data related to finances, services requested, key outcomes, etc.); extracting departmental research and Center/Institute expenditure data for space utilization reporting; creating dashboards and reports of financial commitments of Research Affairs office to support faculty recruitment, retention, and re-investment, and of SOM to support Center and Institutes.

Work Location: |
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of at least three (3) days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range for this position has been established as $69,591 to $88,519.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
