As a Data Analyst, you will be important in driving data-driven decision-making within ERAS in the ERAS Data Services team. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover valuable insights and support strategic initiatives. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations will be instrumental in helping us to optimize our operations in providing services to the fellowship and residency recruitment space. Must work East Coast business hours.
Essential Duties Data Collection and Cleaning • Collect data from various sources (databases, APIs, files).
• Clean and prepare data for analysis (removing duplicates, handling missing values, formatting data).
Data Analysis · Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
· Use data mining and machine learning algorithms to uncover hidden insights.
· Apply statistical techniques (e.g., descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
Data Visualization · Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate data findings effectively.
· Select appropriate visualization techniques based on the data and audience.
Reporting • Develop and deliver regular reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Summarize key findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Problem Solving • Identify and solve data-related problems using analytical and technical skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools
- Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
