The Gist...Our Data Analyst will work as a part of a team that will be responsible for providing human-centered design, data quality assurance, end- user and strategic support in order to rectifying process and systems gaps.

What Your Day Might Include…
  • Manages data reporting requests to ensure timely and accurate report creation. Coordinates with report creators and the requestor to capture what information is required for the report and that the requestor is satisfied with the format and usability of the end product
  • Analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and insights.
  • Working with Customer Data Engineering Team to progress projects in Data Migration/Engineering Build and Implementation.
  • Developing, updating and testing Executive, Operational, and Management BI Dashboards in Tableau.
  • Monitors needs for relative frequency of issues, recurring challenges, unresolved problems, and is able to provide related documentation, workflows, analyses, and information about the issues that users encounter.
  • Analyze where additional guidance and documentation of system usage may benefit users or be helpful for both internal and external organization and effectiveness.
  • Import and export data into Tableau and ability to present findings in dashboards and automate requirements where feasible
  • Champion all aspects of data analytics, analytic methodology, and visualization functions including engineering standards, governance processes, and providing vision and context to explore and effectively utilize emerging technologies.
  • Experience using modern open-source software applications, including server-side processing and data storage.
  • Manages and responds to email, Teams channels and direct messaging from users to answer web application user support requests.
  • Maintains user lists, POC reports, and other key stakeholder communication channels and distribution platforms and methods.
  • Possesses the ability to determine when you have reached a “dead-end” in troubleshooting and need to escalate an issue to your supervisor or other important stakeholders to resolve an issue.
  • Communicate as appropriate with end users to gather information and share status.
  • Establish a quality control process to ensure data entry, issue resolution, and user support tasks are performed according to established rules, procedures, and policy.
  • Perform data entry. Review data provided by third parties to ensure accuracy and consistency and make appropriate revisions.
  • Conduct testing in non-production environments.
  • Track open tickets and unresolved issues.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise systems and bugs.
  • Monitor incoming requests for instances in which guidance is available and provide such information and guidance in a timely fashion.
  • Manage intranet, SharePoint, Teams or similar collaborative sites to provide guidance and documentation in centralized and      easy-to-find situations.
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management offices to ensure that guidance is accessible, discoverable, and relevant to those seeking out information.
  • Make recommendations for improvement and assist in implementation and testing of any changes.
  • Document processes followed to resolve routine or reoccurring tasks.
  • Research and learn new programming tools and techniques as necessary.
  • Handle large data sets and scaling their handling and storage.
  • Proficiency in how to read, analyze and assess varying data sets of a product.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience as necessary.



Requirements

 You’ll Bring These Qualifications…

  • US Citizenship Required to obtain DHS Public Trust
  • Active DHS Public Trust (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree + 0-3 years of experience
  • Requires strong communication practices and willingness to be pleasantly persistent when seeking to resolve an issue, either with a user, or with individuals responsible for addressing an issue.
  • Experience in updating and creating Tableau Dashboards.
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Data Management, Analysis, SQL, Python, Data Visualization, Documentation, Business Intelligence, Tableau, PowerBI, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing (All not required)
  • Experienced in statistical data analysis, SQL, Python and Databricks.
