FUNCTION
The function of the Data Analyst role is to support and provide back-up processing / validation for multiple technical data transitions involving EDI, ERP, and a third-party Demand Planning software package.  Process large quantities of data using Python or R as well as develop and maintain dashboard reports using PowerBI or Tableau. The dashboard reports created must capture relevant business metrics to help the leadership team make data-driven decisions. Incorporate graphical reporting that facilitates efficient exception management and focus on areas of concern / opportunity.  Work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to understand areas of business focus such that analytics capabilities can be maximized to solve problems and improve business results.

- Develop deep understanding of data transmission needs across multiple systems in support of Demand Planning / Forecasting to include processing expertise and validation.
- Work with cross functional stakeholders to understand business priorities / needs and develop / maintain analytic tools that help steer leaders toward effective data-driven strategies and execution support.
- Develop visual metric / reporting tools for daily, weekly, monthly review at multiple levels of granularity.
- Provide analytics related expertise and training to broader organization as needed.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The mental and physical requirements for successful performance of this job are:
- Ability to communicate professionally (verbal and written) with multiple cross-functional contacts at various levels throughout the organization.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to query, manipulate and analyze data in desktop applications
- Must be proficient in SQL and Python or R programming languages.
- Intermediate knowledge of advanced Excel formulas like VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and VBA.
- Ability to draft accurate and detailed documentation for workflows and processes.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and relevant data fields (current and archived).
- Ability to develop and present professional, intuitive and straightforward reporting tools, charts, etc.
 
Education and/or Experience
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s (4 yr) degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics.
