Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant Earth science (e.g., atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences, etc), mathematics, computer sciences, engineering, or related field. Four or more years of experience working with in situ and remotely sensed environmental observations and/or model datasets including interpretation and analysis. Experience in a team environment addressing scientific or technical challenges. Experience with modern research data management practices (e.g., FAIR data principles, etc). Experience with the development and use of uncertainty quantification measures. Two or more peer-reviewed publications in environmental sciences or a related area. Experience in an academic research setting. Demonstrated experience in applying AI/ML approaches to remotely sensed, model simulated, and in situ data analysis. Experience working in a federal facility environment.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional work outside of normal business hours as needed
