Empowering enterprises to keep the planet habitable for all!

Reversing the impact of climate change is one of the world’s biggest challenges. And businesses have a responsibility to lead the way. While individual consumer choices are important, over 80% of all the emissions reductions necessary for the world to reach Net-Zero, require business-level action. But despite the growing momentum and ambition from companies around the world to set Net-Zero goals, there are significant challenges to delivering on these ambitions. Business leaders don’t really know how they will get there. And the very first step, of getting emissions measurement right, is hard.

Terrascope is an enterprise-grade, end-to-end decarbonisation SaaS platform. By combining AI-assisted carbon measurement & management with deep industry & sustainability expertise, Terrascope helps solve the data management, emissions reduction planning and implementation challenges that large enterprises face to decarbonise their operations and complex supply chains.

Publicly launched in June '22, Terrascope is working with customers in multiple industry verticals such as agriculture, food & beverage and consumer packaged goods, as well as horizontals such as manufacturing, technology, transportation and real estate. Terrascope is an innovative player to support enterprises in their green transformation.

Backed by Nupo Ventures (formerly Olam Ventures) and incubated with support from BCG X, Terrascope has now achieved a number of globally recognised accreditations, with more on the way – including being the first CDP Gold Accredited Software provider from Asia and signing The Climate Pledge to be net zero by 2040. Terrascope aims to lead by example and demonstrate that business growth and carbon reduction can go hand in hand.

You will play the crucial role of supporting our customers on their carbon measurement and emission reduction journey, using the Terrascope platform alongside our professional services offering. Measurements are performed in accordance with international carbon accounting standards, namely the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate and Product Standards. Using your learnings, you will provide feedback to the product development team to continuously improve the user experience of measuring greenhouse gas emissions, communicating insights, and advising on emissions reduction strategies. • Work with customers to help them provide the correct data required for calculating their greenhouse gas emission inventory across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 for corporate emissions, and full life cycle for product emissions. Provide guidance on what additional data is required to enrich raw data sets for footprint measurement.
    • Transform unstructured data sets provided by clients into structured data which can be ingested into our product’s data processing pipeline to calculate carbon emissions.
    • Use our platform to calculate, map, and publish carbon footprints that will be used by a company for their climate strategies, actions, and reports.
    • Support companies to understand their sources of greenhouse gas emissions, set emissions reduction targets, and identify the most impactful decarbonisation opportunities.
    • Document carbon accounting methodologies and advise customers on opportunities to improve their data year-on-year.
    • Provide feedback and learnings to our product development team to improve workflows and extend the platform's capabilities.

You should be/have:

    • 2+ years of experience in a data analytics, solutions engineering or consulting role, with a desire to pivot into a career at the intersection of technology, data and sustainability.
    • Customer focused: A strong ownership of your work, and are excited to work in a client facing role. A strong verbal and written communicator who can simplify and communicate complex concepts to a novice audience.
    • Product orientation: Be an early software adopter, rapidly testing out new product features, and be excited to contribute to building an ever better product.
    • Data processing: Skills in writing SQL queries, data engineering and structuring skills, or have a quantitative background with a desire to learn. Proficiency in Python.
    • You are efficient, systematic and attentive to details, understanding how numbers from an excel sheet translate to real world business transactions and operations.
    • Excited to be part of a company that is empowering multinational enterprises to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across their direct operations and upstream and downstream value chains.

Nice to have, and willing to learn:

    • Climate or sustainability-related industry and knowledge on GreenHouse Gas Accounting Principles.
    • Exposure to sectors such as CPG, food and agriculture, or transportation.
