We are looking for an excellent Business Analyst with experience of working in SaaS environments in the insurance sector.

This pivotal role in our business requires a seasoned Business Analyst to bridge the gap between the Product and Technology teams as well as lay the foundations of a Business Analysis function within a forward-thinking, fast-paced and dynamic organisation.

The successful candidate will not only design and implement scalable methodologies and processes but will also play a crucial role in creating a collaborative & positive team environment, aligning fully with the company's core values and vision, in delivering key objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing a comprehensive grasp of complete user journeys and processes, along with the technologies that support them.
Precisely and effectively gather, question and document scope, processes, and requirements, while involving end users throughout the change process. This might include running workshops & Q&A sessions to clarify and disseminate key information, prioritise & schedule deliverables.
Highlighting project risks (with mitigation, where possible) and opportunities and providing regular feedback & updates to all key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations
Creating excellent business and technical analysis outputs, including user stories, functional and non-functional specifications & process models.
Ensuring requirements and user stories are tracked throughout the entire design/change process.
Utilising Business Analysis best practices and insights to encourage the business to consider only the most optimal solutions.

Contributing to the simplification of existing processes and procedures
Providing support for a wide range of business applications, which may include documentation and training
Performing data analysis and data aggregation using BI and other data analysis tools
From time to time, managing projects to deliver the above or assisting in the management of larger programmes or projects

Implementing continuous best-practice based improvements, ensuring the ongoing evolution of Business Analysis practices within our organisation.
Establishing relationships and trust with all key stakeholders, understanding their goals, objectives, and desired outcomes, and guiding them through the engagement process.
Maintaining a strong working relationship with Project & Product Management, and IT colleagues and collaborating with them to gain desired outputs.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in an IT Business Analyst role with and understanding of SaaS platform development is essential. Product Management experience would also be beneficial.
Experience in Motor Insurance Claims, Credit Hire and Third-Party Capture highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with good attention to detail

Strong planning and organisation skills and the ability to manage moving deadlines and changing/conflicting priorities.
Strong experience in fostering good working relationships and a collaborative team environment, cross-functionally.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and stakeholder management skills.

Experience of delivering IT system requirements specifications and/or Agile story creation.
An understanding of waterfall, iterative and Agile development methodologies and experience of working with at least one of these across the full development lifecycle.
Keen to learn & get involved in other areas such as Project Management, QA – being flexible and adaptable as we scale is vital!
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preference) and an understanding of APIs (REST/Swagger) would be beneficial
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with regular onsite days (including client sites)
Full Driving Licence (frequent travel to and from areas with senior staff members for in-person collaboration required)

BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Certified SCRUM Master (CSM)
PRINCE2

Azure DevOps (Jira/Confluence ok alternative)
MS Visio
Excel (Advanced)
SQL (PostgreSQL/SQL 2019)

Experience with Power BI, Miro & Figma would be beneficial
