Job Description

Join our innovative team at Touch by AJ Bell as a Business Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our app-based investment platform. If you're passionate about driving technological advancements in the financial services sector, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to a Lead Business Analyst you'll sit within our Advised Business Analysis Team supporting the product development of our Touch app.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Advised Product Team to drive innovative development of the AJ Bell Touch application and to ensure the successful delivery of continuous improvements, new products & functionality and to ensure we meet regulatory obligations.
  • You will help create high quality user stories for new and existing front-end web and mobile app solutions working with colleagues on the discovery, design, build and testing phases of the initiative also ensuring that gap, impact, and risk analysis is completed.
  • You will seek to identify areas where improvement in systems and processes will lead to an improved customer experience and /or greater efficiency.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience of working closely with Product Owners, development teams and other business stakeholders
  • Experience in writing user stories, modelling processes, and documenting requirements
  • Ability to clearly articulate business requirements to UX designer, development, and testing teams
  • A proven history of delivery on both large software development projects, including system and technical changes, as well as smaller individual changes
  • Experience of facilitating and managing workshops and meetings (virtual or in-person)
  • Effective communication skills including questioning and challenging stakeholders, clearly articulating technical and business understanding and building and maintaining interdepartmental relationships
  • Experience of working in the Financial Services Industry is preferred but not essential

Hybrid working:
