Summary of the role:
EXL is seeking a Data Analyst to support High Priority Data Taxonomy Development: including the definition and evolution of the high-priority data taxonomy, in alignment with the Enterprise Metadata Management program, to enable sustainable, consistent classification of data across data management and information security initiatives.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
Classifier Development and Tuning:
Define requirements and develop custom classifiers (using Regex) to enable identification of high priority data within structured and unstructured environments; With focus on areas where we do not have sufficient coverage using the out of the box classifiers (e.g. Strategic Claims and Policy Information, Security Information, Non- Public Financial Information, etc.);
Support the calibration and validation of newly defined custom classifiers including the review of testing with business stakeholders;
Based on the initial scanning results, tune the newly developed as well as out of the box classifiers to improve completeness and accuracy of the scans.
Post-Scan Processes:
Support the execution of the post-scan process for structured data including initial results refinement, high-level analysis, and coordination of feedback and validation through app teams and business stakeholders; Translate structured data scan findings into actionable outcomes (e.g., data minimization, update of governance records, etc.);
Support the execution of unstructured data scan results review and validation across in-scope repositories, combining hands-on manual review of results with collecting feedback at scale from repository owners and business stakeholders
