Azure Data Engineer (DataBricks/Synapse)

Infosys is seeking an Azure Data Engineer. In this role, you will work directly with the clients to lead critical modules in Data Engineering program which will include metadata management, data catalog, data quality, process/workflow definition implementation, Reporting, Delivery, etc. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:

  • The project location is Raleigh, NC. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC or willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC.  The candidate will be required to work in PST business hours.

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

  • At least 4 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines on Azure using services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Synapse

  • At least 2 years of experience in data platforms – with multi layered approach, and some knowledge of Design/Architecture.

  • At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting performance issues, identifying root cause and applying fixes.

  • At least 3 years of experience in basic SQL.

  • Ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects, leveraging tools like Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in programming language such as Python/Pyspark/Scala

  • Familiarity with data modeling and ETL tools such as Erwin, Talend, DataStage.

  • Ability to lead large complex projects with limited direction.
