Overview

Location: This role can be based in our Winchester / Manchester / Bristol offices

 

We have a requirement for an experienced Administrator with data analysis experience to join our team. This junior level role will particularly suit an individual with an interest in data collection, analysis and formation of related asset management strategies ideally with experience in related databases (not necessarily within the housing sector). Strong Excel knowledge is a requisite, and an understanding of Power BI would be beneficial although not necessary as training can be given. Any experience of working with housing related systems such as Civica/Keystone, Northgate SAM/Codeman, PIMSS, ActiveH, ProMaster, TechForge etc. would also be advantageous.

 

This role will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to develop their skills to flourish and progress in a growing and extremely exciting sector. As an important member of the team liaising with fieldwork managers and client contacts,  this role will both stimulate and challenge you, and your high level of communication skills and commercial awareness will be beneficial.

 

It is anticipated the role will require initial and on-going training in areas where knowledge may be limited and you will be fully supported by Ridge in gaining this expertise.

Role and Responsibilities

The role will be varied and include the following:

  • Assisting with the management of surveys and co-ordination with fieldwork managers;
  • Set up of new surveys including data configuration;
  • Set up of mobile devices for surveyors to collect data;
  • Data QA checks and validation;
  • Providing monthly progress reports and updates;
  • Dealing with confidential data;
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly fee accounts;
  • Preparation of survey outputs including cost tables for reporting;
  • Providing input into asset management advice and support;
  • Undertaking asset performance modelling;
  • Decent Homes and HHSRS assessments and validations;
  • Managing energy data to inform sustainability strategies;
  • Developing inhouse best practice data management; and
  • Support and reporting to the team leader.

Experience and Skills Required

To be considered for this role you must evidence experience of / in:

  • Data management – awareness of data governance and able to manage large datasets
  • Assurance & validation skills – understanding the concept and context of data and able to interpret information as well as data cleansing and preparation
  • Logical and creative thinking – identify problems within datasets and able to contribute to remedies
  • Communication – ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language

You must possess, and will be able to evidence:

  • Excellent Excel skills 
  • Understanding of Power BI 
  • Experience of working with housing related systems such as Civica/Keystone, Northgate SAM/Codeman, PIMSS, ActiveH, ProMaster, TechForge etc 
  • Experience of working in an analytical role 
  • Excellent written and oral skills (you will produce robust outputs for the team and clients)
  • Knowledge of construction technology relating to residential accommodation
